Yes we eventually sold our spare front door.
It's off to begin a new life as part of a demonstration 'eco-pod' to be used
by students at Nottingham University,
which has a thriving Department of Architecture the and Built Environment.
Nottingham is the university where Brenda and Robert Vale, architects of the
Southwell Autonomous House,
which inspired our own, used to work before they emigrated to New Zealand.
Pretty well every self-build has one cock-up or another.
Fortunately even our worst one wasn't too catastrophic
we ended up with a front door which had the hinges
on the wrong side.
The assymetrical layout of our hallway meant we just couldn't use this door,
so we had no option but to order another, and offer this one for sale.
